Permalink redirect progress indication

In large projects, the permalink redirection takes several seconds and a blank white screen is shown. This gives the feeling that the link is invalid. It would be nice if some kind of a javascript based progress indicator is displayed during the redirect phase.

I have a new implementation for permalink running in my project which has much better performance and which also works for sub-projects. This is done by generating and building a needs lookup table. I can provide this solution.
