Zip codes -- how to check

Right now, we treat zipcodes as containing population proportional to the geographic area of intersecting census tracts. In other words, if 20% of a census tract's area intersects with zip code 00000, we treat 20% of the population as being in zipcode 00000.

We do not know how accurate this is for 2010 tracts to 2020 zips, but we could get some scale of the error as follows:

1. Repeat the same procedure, crossing 2020 tracts to 2020 zips using geographic area
2. Compare this to the true numbers census publishes.
