setting a nickname in groups takes two tries

1. be a new ship
2. go to profile page
3. fill in sigil color, nickname, check public profile checkbox
4. save
5. only the sigil changes
6. try editing and saving the nickname again
7. it works now??

Yeah, I'm continuing to see a similar issue here, except this is what I edit:

(Profile is already public at this point)

1. Sigil Color
2. Nickname
3. Bio/About Text
4. Add a pinned public group

Everything seemed to stick besides the sigil color edit.

Perhaps, can poke around and try to break it. Despite it now working btw, the re-render does seem to take a while ... like 5-6 seconds or so. Not something we need to fix now by any means, but worth keeping note of,
