random x appears & doesn't go away

i've noticed that sometimes after certain actions that involve a pop-up window, there is a random x that appears & doesn't go away. i will try to monitor when it happens as right now i can't remember, just that i've noticed it a few times. Screenshot from 2024-05-18 09:30:38
