Support new speed percentage targets for fans

With 2021.3 the speed percentage for fan control is out and supporting it would be great.

After upgrading to HA 2022.2.0 my fans speeds do not work.

I can't even seem to find a way to access this component anymore via the UI.

Are we to use the native Lutron integration or what is going on?

I have pushed a change to update the fan component to use percentage instead of speeds provided as string. This is a potential breaking change depending on how you are using the component, but it is aligned with the documentation of the Home Assistant fan component.

If anyone is still using this component and has a fan controller, please give it a test and leave any feedback.

I can try it but I do not show an update available for HACS component. Do I need to just download the repo directly or can I point to a branch?

I noticed out of my 6 fans, sometimes some show up with lightning icons for on and off and others don't.

Probably not identified in your config yaml as a fan.

I bit the bullet and switched to the core integration since I had free time

I just did a re-download in HACS and a restart and they all work now. All my fans are identified in my yaml. I can't move to the built in config because I use pico remotes with custom commands, and this is the best way for me to do that.

The core integration has Pico support now. You will have to convert your automations for them though. Blueprints are out there to speed it up but if it ain't broke!
