Hey there, @Valent1ne8! I'm here to help you with any bugs, questions, or contributions you might have for the Upscayl repository. Let's work together to resolve your issue.

To fix the "vkCreateInstance failed -9, Invalid GPU Device" error in Upscayl version 2.11.0 on your Windows 10 (22H2) system with an RTX 3060 GPU, you can try the following steps:

  1. Set the app to performance mode: Follow the instructions in this video to set the app to performance mode.

  2. Disable switchable graphics: If your system has switchable graphics, you can disable it by following the instructions here.

  3. Enable hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling: You can enable this feature by following the instructions here.

  4. Reinstall graphics drivers: Before reinstalling, run VulkanCapsViewer to check for Vulkan support. If Vulkan support is confirmed, you might not need to reinstall the drivers.

  5. Set your GPU ID: Try setting your GPU ID to your discrete GPU (RTX 3060) [1].

got this same weird error for no apparent reason. was working fine before. maybe it was from an Nvidia driver update and I need to power cycle? we'll see, I might power cycle my Linux system someday soon.
