text only mode / hide embeds

Hi!

would it be possible to prevent images (especially gifs) from loading? and possibly get a text-only mode working somehow, almost like IRC.

I tried CSS .embed { display: none; } but that doesn't seem to be valid Gtk CSS, so it looks like it isn't possible currently?

Use case: I'm testing this on a low performance laptop, and while the overall experience is much better than electron/browser, embeds drag loading/scrolling speed down a lot.
