question: is it possible to get text to overflow to the left, behind the cell to the left?

hello, currently when we type in a cell the overflow goes over to the next cell until we've finished editing that cell. this isn't really a problem. but we're wondering is it possible to get the words to push to the left and behind the left cell as we're typing? this sort of behaviour is similar to what we see in many web forms (have attached a short video)
