Validate, increase size of uploaded media and compress for project and activity creation
Build a compression for media.
Related: Uploading an image that is of size > 2MB currently results in a validation error without showing it on the screen. This doesn't allow users to continue with project creation.
hello @ajain1921 this task has been up for some time now but if you are still around, do you mind if we discuss more about the reason the task was created? the task seems primarily to be about compression. We already have some form of image compression going on in the backend.
- Does this task mean that it no longer works (the last time I checked which has been a while btw, it worked)? if so why?
- Is it that the compression ratio is bad?
- is it something else?
Also, anyone interested in working on this cc @joshuaombasa @coderatomy is welcome to try to get the answer to these questions before we can begin doing work on this.
