[Android][ModalStandardBottomSheet] Selected item flickers

Current behavior

ModalStandardBottomSheet Android Flicker.zip (See attached video)

Expected behavior

Selection should not flicker

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)

1. Launch app
2. Navigate to ModalStandardBottomSheet
3. Tap Open Sheet
4. Select a letter (ex. d)
5. Notice that after a few seconds the selected area starts to flicker
