Feedback Form | Adding more tooltips and inline comments for ease of onboarding and understanding
This is what the users (multiple) told us via the feedback form: "The current lock creation process can feel overly technical and intimidating for non-developers or those new to Web3. Terms like “ERC-721,” duration in seconds,” and “max number of keys” lack clear explanations or user-friendly guidance."
Describe the solution you'd like Several users suggested adding tooltips on mouseover when we use terminology that might not be clear or obvious, especially to newcomers. This applies to locksmith lingo as much as to Web3-specific terminology. The best approach is to define all major areas and make a list of terminology that requires a short explanation before implementing them. Some ideas here were also adding visual aids e.g. a calendar icon for duration, a key icon for the key settings.
Areas I see affected are:
- lock creation area
- dashboard
- metadata editor
- settings
- checkout URL
When implementing it is necessary to first suggest ideas before implementing As a first step let us know which non-technical tool tips you feel make sense adding to that specific area.

let'ssplit that in 2 issues please as these are not perfectly related!
@julien51 just split these two issues into their individual ones. Left this one and cut it plus created this one: https://github.com/unlock-protocol/unlock/issues/16286
Please add the ScoutGame Label you see fit!
