House Scouting: (This Section will be removed once location is finalized)
We are focused on finding a hack house in an area that is close (10-15 Minutes) to the main venue ( Ratchadaphisek Rd, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand).
Cost:
Based on out average searches across airbnb and other sources online, we expect the house bill for the 18 days to be estimated around ~ 7000 - 10000 USD including catering.
We are looking for sponsorship for the Hack House and Food + Beverages
The Hack House will feature integrated incentives for builders to build on Base.
Currently we have found the following houses which can comfortably accommodate 15-20 hackers.

This is a Base Community led effort aimed to help more builders on chain.
Applicants:
Our Judges will choose the accepted hackers. We invite [email protected] to be our first Judge of the Based Hack House.
We plan to integrate Farcaster to accept registrations in frames, those who are not on farcaster will still be able to submit their applications via a form and will be gifted a free Warpcast account.
Accepted applicants will be sent the **Terms and Conditions**, **Code of Conduct** and any other Declaration as required.

Consequences of Violations

Thank you for putting up this proposal. I love that you are doing something to bring people together. Questions:
- How do you imagine integrating Unlock Protocol into the hackathon? I only saw a list of tools that don't address Unlock specifically.
- Why should Unlock provide a grant as a specific sponsor for this initiative? I see how you want to provide exposure, but to which end exactly?
- I don't see a specific funding amount being requested. Do you aim for packages, or how will you define them? I understand the donation idea, but it might be hard for sponsors to measure the value proposition made.
I added your proposal to the agenda for next week's DAO Call and hope you will answer some of those questions and maybe more that will come up.

Thank you for responding and we are excited to work on integrating Unlock Protocol with Icebreaker for NFC chips / cards / discs and evolving NFTs and more such as:
- MUD Hackathon for the Submissions and Voting on Optimism and Base.
- Votecaster for voting in-frame on Farcaster.
We have previously used Unlock Protocol for Timed Membership passes for our ETH Denver BUIDL Project and are happy to report that it has won the Prize for Intuition Integration (Attestation of Squats using react device motion accelerometer and gyroscope readings)

Here is how we plan the integrating of Unlock Protocol into the hackathon:
Integration of Unlock Protocol:
In the Based Hack House, Unlock Protocol will be introduced as an essential tool for participants. It will be used to demonstrate the potential of blockchain in creating and managing access control, subscriptions, and memberships in a decentralized way. We’ll encourage hackers to incorporate Unlock Protocol in their projects, giving an understanding of its functionality and potential uses. This hands-on experience will help participants understand the real-world applications of Unlock Protocol.
Why Unlock should sponsor:
Unlock should consider sponsoring our initiative because it aligns with the goal of increasing the visibility and credibility of Unlock Protocol. The hackathon will expose a range of tech enthusiasts, developers, and potential users to Unlock. This exposure will potentially lead to greater adoption and more innovative uses of Unlock Protocol. Moreover, as a sponsor, Unlock will have the opportunity to directly engage with the community, understand their needs and feedback, and potentially guide the development of new features or improvements.
Funding Amount and Packages:
We are seeking a grant of 10 ETH to cover the cost of organizing the event, including venue, equipment, and prizes. However, we understand the need for clear sponsorship packages to provide value to sponsors. We plan to offer tiered sponsorship packages that would provide varying levels of visibility and benefits to sponsors. Utkarsha and me are currently seeking funding for Scouting for The Based Hack House @ DevCon 7 in Thailand.
Purpose of the Trip
Scouting and Selection:
We'll thoroughly explore Airbnb options and other Thai villas to find the perfect Hack House that comfortably accommodates 20 hackers. We will report back with images, videos of the location.
Essential Services:
We'll identify and establish relationships with top-rated catering, cleaning, housekeeping, and security services for the event.
Legal Compliance:
We'll consult with a registered legal aid in Thailand to ensure all licensing and regulations are fully understood and adhered to.
Progress Reporting:
We'll provide you with daily updates via email or calls, outlining our findings and progress.
Proposed Budget
Flights (Pune-Bangkok return):
$900 (approx.) for both myself and Utkarsha
Accommodation and Expenses:
$4200 ($300/day per person x 7 days)
Contingency:
Additional expenses, if any, will be documented and shared with receipts.
Expected Outcomes:
Secure Ideal Hack House:
We'll find and book the most suitable and cost-effective Hack House well in advance of the November event.
Legal and Regulatory Clarity:
We'll gain a clear understanding of Thai laws and licensing requirements to ensure a smooth event.
Food and Beverage Arrangements:
We'll finalize a high-quality catering service for the duration of the event.
