xbox button on external controller used for xbox and steam menu

I'm using xbox-xcloud streaming app with an external controller and I noticed that xbox button on controller overlaps with steam button. The overlay on steam does not give me possibility to remap xbox button on my external controller, any idea how those two can be separated ?

Good question, have been thinking about this for a while. It is not possible to remap the button at all, however i'm considering to add an option in the client to remap the nexus button to the start and select buttons simultaneously.

Just out of curiosity, are you facing this issue while the steam deck is connected to the tv? (as we also have a soft button for the nexus menu)

That is very good idea. The issue is related when using external controller. It does not matter if it is with external monitor or directly on the deck.

It is, sorry for the lack of updates, it is super busy over here. I planned a new update for this weekend so i will try to include this one as well.

As of beta8 this works, however it has the side-effect of also sending a key press for the first button you pressed. Eg. If you press and hold the menu button, and then press select, a key press will be detected for the Xbox button and the menu button
