-m64 turns out to not be a cross platform switch.

Is this still a problem? @yumaoka says he is not aware of complaints from/about AIX.

From a quick read it seems like you don't get 64 bits without -maix64 still. So, not sure what to say, and no way to verify concretely. Fine to close as stale.
