[BUG]: After applying Standard selection Phone Link is broken

Open sla-te opened this issue 2 months ago • 8 comments

Description

After applying Standard selection Phone Link is broken (and even reverting "All"), does not fix it back. I can confirm it did work before. Specifically what does not work is the feature, that you can accept and make calls via Phone Link on Windows (Messages and Apps still work).

OS

Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.3447)

Reproduction steps

  1. Setup Phone Link on a clean Windows 11 and assert, that you can use the "Calls" feature.
  2. Apply the Standard set of scripts and reboot. Confirm that the Calls feature does not work anymore.
  3. Revert the Standard (or All) selection, reboot and confirm that the Calls feature still does not work.

Additional information

Worth to mention, that I first had problems getting it to work, having applied the standard settings of ShutUp10. After applying the "Undo all changes" action and a reboot, it worked perfectly (I also already tried running that again hoping it would revert the changes made by privacy.sexy but it didn't help). So my guess is that anything privacy.sexy does is somewhat not revertible and causes the breakage. Any hints regarding how to provide detailed error information when running Phone Link to pinpoint the root cause is highly appreciated because I kind of enjoyed using this feature.

I also already tried running the script provided by https://github.com/undergroundwires/privacy.sexy/issues/315#issuecomment-2009414512 but it also didn't fix it.
