Skip/Next/Ignore button when running tests in a suite

Recently I had a test that had a series of asserts that went wrong due to a technical error. The timeouts made the total run time for this test alone about 1100 seconds.

Just wondering if it would be possible to have a button when running a suite that is called Skip or Next that will allow me to force the testrun to move to the next test, so cutting off the one currently running and picking up the next one?

I realize that a more sane timeout management would solve the 1100 seconds, but the Skip button I would find interesting as the current Stop button still waits until the currently running test is concluded.
