IO Exception: transport closed in negotiate

Getting the following exception while calling file.GetInputStream()

I believe this is due to it not supporting SMBv2 or SMBv3. I know we are experiencing this, and we recently turned off SMBv1 on all servers.

Unfortunately this project is not maintained and has lack of documentation :( Has anyone found an alternative?
