Registration of populator uses indexname

I have issue with that line https://github.com/umbraco/UmbracoExamine.PDF/blob/d98815a98dbdd34b8446cff39df924d9315bc9e5/src/UmbracoExamine.PDF/PdfIndexPopulator.cs#L46 , as based on Elastic Requirements i had to lower cases all index names and I am hitting issue with registering populator for elastic provider. Why wasn't used there some interface to flag index in similar way to Umbraco indexes: https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS/blob/e220baf00ca0a346f3ee17964f14bc143734094f/src/Umbraco.Examine/ContentIndexPopulator.cs#L17 ?
