Links with underscore doesn't render correct

Open bjarnef opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

I linking to a documentation page, e.g. this one: https://our.umbraco.com/Documentation/Reference/Routing/Request-Pipeline/outbound-pipeline-vpre_8_1

then in markdown the underscore characters are remove and the link become this, which is broken: https://our.umbraco.com/Documentation/Reference/Routing/Request-Pipeline/outbound-pipeline-vpre81

see https://our.umbraco.com/forum/using-umbraco-and-getting-started/107575-point-sub-menu-page-to-external-url#comment-334590

Not sure if it may has something to do with the term "pre" which is a HTML tag as the link end here and it does some strange splitting into HTML elements.

I'm seeing the same, it seems to be italicizing the parts of the URL that have underscores on either side. https://our.umbraco.com/forum/using-umbraco-and-getting-started/107941-mobile-images#comment-335497

Which library is used to render the markdown, do we know? Underscores are standard in markdown for emphasis (alias for a single asterisk) - but of course should be ignored in URLs.
