In 2021 @mikecao mentioned funnels and heatmaps are out of scope for Umami so the issue was closed. Funnels were introduced in 2023, so I'd like to propose that heatmaps be reconsidered as well.
Other solutions today are costly for solopreneurs and Umami could build upon its rep for the developer-friendly complete analytics tool. Alternatives today are Hotjar (free heatmaps, but $171/month for funnels), and Amplitude (heatmaps only available on enterprise "growth" plan with no public price).
Yea, we've come a long way since then 😄. We'll be adding more Enterprise features in v3.
Heatmap feature is needed since products like MS clarity are blocked by Adblock.
We need a stable, open source solution as Umami always is.

@mikecao Is there any official decision about this yet--do you know 🙂? We're currently looking for a user behavior tracking solution, and heatmaps are high up on our wishlist 🤞.
