SecureVNCPlugin64.dsm crashes every time
I use UltraVNC 1.4.3.6 (and also 1.5.0.0 for testing) with the SecureVNCPlugin on Windows 10 When I call the VNCViewer and connect to the other computer, I see the message "Password required" in the main window. But only for half a second. There is no input box for the password, but it just closes everything and I get a event viewer entry:
Fehlerbucket , Typ 0 Ereignisname: APPCRASH Antwort: Nicht verfügbar CAB-Datei-ID: 0
Problemsignatur: P1: vncviewer.exe P2: 1.5.0.0 P3: 661adf3a P4: SecureVNCPlugin64.dsm P5: 2.5.0.0 P6: 6509e096 P7: c0000005 P8: 0000000000138b20 P9: P10:
What's that ?

Another problem I have just seen on the Development version, the password not exceed 8 characters on VNCViewer and on VNCServer I have set a password with more characters and I can connect, I don't see this before because copy and paste my password.
@jose94752: VNC password is 8 characters without this plugin. The old dead website will be changed/removed...
I tried complete reinstall in version 1.5.0.7. And found an interesting trivia. Since, the server won't connect to anyone without the correct key, if you created a pre-shared key and didn't install it correctly, you will not be able to negotiate protocol for entering the password. What's funny is that the server responds to "potential intruder" by force termination and cut the connection (graceful shutdown).
Please update a clearer instruction to install pre-shared keys both on the docs and on the UI so people won't accidentally cut themself out of their system. I still don't know the exact procedure required to successfully install pre-shared key myself.
I think this process of installing pre-shared keys is important for those who work in IT support of a large system.
The work around as I know it is not to touch the config at all, just enable the plugin and let it work it's magic. And if you'd made a pre-shared key before, remove the setting in C:\ProgramData\UltraVNC\ultravnc.ini. I don't know the exact settings you have to remove, so good luck.
Thank you in advance.
@theojk2, @Cefatus: It works perfectly with a recent UltraVNC version > 1.6?

@Neustradamus I'm so sorry, I haven't used UVNC for quite a while. I don't have answer for you.
