Brief 3-4 ms pauses in operations

Open cnlohr opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

I'm running into some weird pauses that don't look like network congestion. If I start transmitting at say MCS0, sending 1,500 byte packets, a new packet is sent roughly once per millisecond. This is all good and fine, but every slightly-more-than 100ms, there is a pause. The pause is typically 3-4ms, and I can't seem to figure out why. Has anyone else seen unusual behavior like this?

Additionally, I am running into another odd case. Though I've re-enumerated my RTL8812BU (or not sure if it's an RTL8822BU) (0bda:b812) it seems to top out max TX at around 100 mbit/s, even when transmitting on even the most absurd VHT rates. image (Purple vertical bars are spaced 100ms apart) If anyone's seen anything like this, let me know!

... I don't know.

I have currently some strange/odd/weird error, which causes wpa_supplicant not to connect with two of my three test boxes. And this is with current master and my HEADs on v5.2.4 and v5.3.1

I have played with it a little more, and noticed if I change the temperment of sending, I can get it to flatten out... but, that just means the problem is somewhere after the USB stack. I.e. firmware?
