Might be better to add a field to the table indicating maintenance status / recommendation (e.g. good for server? good for microcontrollers? Good for learning how it works?) instead of removal.

A project unmaintained since 2017 is "good for nothing" and must be removed. ;)

There's no use in making many people spend the energy to read and filter a list that can be filtered once and for all by fixing the docs.

There's already a replacement crate, as mentioned above. Nothing valuable will be lost.
