[ISSUE] Log always empty on Android 11

Open gashtal opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug Afwall log is always empty on Android 11. It worked fine when my phone was on Android 10.

Firewall Logs IPv4rules.log

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: ASUS Zenphone 6
  • Android OS: Android 11 (official ASUS firmware)

Additional context I previously used Afwall on the same phone with Android 10 and logs worked fine and all blocked requests were visible in the log. Since I updated my phone to Android 11, Afwall log has always been empty even though the log service is enabled, even with the latest version of Afwall (v3.5.3).

I have this same issue. Devices: OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 6T Android OS: Android 11 official OnePlus firmware dmesg | grep AFL shows blocks, but AFWall log shows "Log is empty"

Not only that, but having the log enabled stops AFWall from being enabled. An error occurs when one chooses Enable Firewall while logging is enabled.

Also reporting this issue for Motorola devices running Android 11+, this is a pretty critical feature of a firewall.
