AFWall gets stuck at applying rules

AFWall gets stuck when applying rules every once in a while. The Applying rules notice is stuck in notifications and the internet is blocked. I have to open AFWall and reapply rules manually once or twice to get it working again.

This seems to happen more often when: switching between wifi and 4G, system RAM is fairly full (lots of browser tabs open, especially when switching between apps), battery saver is on.

AFWall+ 3.5.2.1 FDroid (tho not a recent bug), Android 7.0
