AFWall+ keeps stopping

Cannot open AFWall+ on recent LineageOS versions. Returns error message "AFWall+ keeps stopping (App info / Close app)". AFWall+ GUI shows grayed-out on running-apps screen. AFWall+ seems to fail-open, as even newly-installed apps have Internet access.

HARDWARE: Nokia 6.1, PL2GARDnnnnnnnnn, Hardware v5.0

OS: LineageOS 18.1 18 January 2022 (Android 11)

Problem also apparent under LineageOS 18.1 9 November 2021. Behaviour was correct when I first built the phone with LineageOS 18.1 about a year ago. A possibly related issue occurring (I think) after the same upgrades is that the phone no longer demands a PIN to unlock, except one time after rebooting. ADB logcat boot file attached.
