Not seeing the iMac camera in MacOS 10.15.4 Catalina

Open KarlLeclerc opened this issue 4 years ago • 7 comments

Hello Michal,

It has been a while since we have been in touch. I hope that this message find you doing well.

I have been having trouble with linuxtrack since upgrading my MacOS to 10.15.4. I cannot get ltr_gui to see the iMac built-in camera. Even by hitting refresh, I only get the option for Wiimote for a device. Obviously, nothing appears in the tracking window either.

I have tried removing everything and re-installing from the .dmg file. No change.

When I check in my Security and Privacy settings, linuxtrack does not show up as trying to access the camera either.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Karl

Same issue, probably because the app needs to request the camera permission

I'm having the same issue with Catalina. I wonder if the program works well with the actual TrackIR, I want to be sure before to buy it. Does anyone have it?

@RickyOne1 I have a TrackIR, and I use it on Linux, works great with linuxtrack Sorry I don't know if it works in Catalina.

@RickyOne1 I tried to make Trackir 5 work with linuxtrack and X-Plane 11 on Catalina but wasn't successful. Switched to windows and bootcamp in the end.

Hi, if you need trackIR on Mac OS Catalina then please see the workaround I posted in “ TrackIR red lights with XPlane11 on MacOS #170”. It’s in the closed issues section.
