LinuxTrack sees and runs just fine with TrackIR but X-Plane refuses
Hello, A few weeks ago I bought a TrackIr, I then went to the aur repository and downloaded the linuxtrack. Installed it, but then had issues where it would not download any of the versions of the firmware via the LTR_GUI. So I went out to naturalpoint, downloaded the drivers and installed them via wine manually, then chose that location to have LTR_GUI grab the files from. LTR_GUI sees the trackIR just fine, I can see it move the 3d world around perfectly. Also, I did copy the rules as well, tried both the /etc/ and /lib/ locations for rules.
However, X-Plane 10 refuses to see it and just freezes the camera when I try to turn on PilotView or any other plugin that would utilize it. If it helps, X-Plane does not turn on the lights when it starts up, the device remains off.
I would like to note, your solution for ETS2 works just fine, but I cannot get X-Plane to work.
OS: Arch Linux 64bit Xplane 10 64 bit (newest steam non-beta version) LTR_GUI v0.99.12 (only one packaged on AUR)
Any thoughts or help?
Please see the response on the X-Plane.org forum thread you started (I noticed that first)...
Kind regards,
Michal
