These things don't support NTP... well, at least not the Envisalink 3. Not sure if others do. It would be nice to have accurate time.

Cool- good idea! sorry it's been crazy so i'm not the quickest, but I can get this done.

I have added this into v3.9. I have a pending pull request to get that put into HASS. Will update once the PR is accepted into the dev branch. You're free to test whenever though.

I think this has actually created a new issue in reverse - my EVL3 does support NTP via Eyez On ("Auto Time Updates"). So the time on my EVL3 is correct.

Now with this implemented when I restart Home Assistant, which uses UTC, my EVL3 gets set to UTC until it sync's with Eyez On again sometime overnight - then I get the correct time on my DSC panel again.

Is there a way to toggle this on / off somehow? I get the use case going both ways.

Does pyenvisalink enable time/date broadcasts on the Envisalink (0561CC) to be able to check the time on the Envisalink?

The time/date broadcasts are only to minute resolution and aren't sent right when the minute changes, so they can be up to one minute off.
