How do I get focus back to the page after jumping to the address bar in Firefox?

How do I get focus back to the page after jumping to the address bar in Firefox?

When I use Ctrl-L to focus the address bar, I can't get back to the page to navigate with HJKL and the like. Neither shifting focus with Tab/Shift-Tab nor pressing Esc get me out of it.

I've looked through the Firefox Shortcuts and the Vim Vixen page but couldn't find anything. Did I miss something?

I have only found a few workarounds:

  • Use Ctrl-F to open search and Esc to close it again
  • Use Enter - but this reloads the page

another, though cumbersome, combination is to press these keys in this order: F6 Tab Esc

Vim-Vixen has no way to unfocus from address bar like vimperator because of add-on limitation.
