we need something like in gtk

There is a library for this

but imo it would be cool to have this inside yaru.dart

awesome! maybe it doesnt even have to be a custom painted thing? but that's your decision ofc, for a start on this showMenu thing you could have a look at the mess I made inside YaruSplitButton 😆
