Upgrade to LibreOffice 25
The LibreOffice 24 branch (which you are publishing) will be deprecated in June 2025.
On 17 Feb I published a post on the Snapcraft Forum asking when the 25.2 version of LibreOffice would be made available as a snap. I did not receive any indication or reaction. I don’t understand why it takes so long before snap users can have the newest version available, while it was published by the Document Foundation at the beginning of February and was also made available as a Flatpak weeks ago. I have always been a happy user of snaps and I have always defended this format against the many (unfair) criticisms, but in order to maintain and further gain credibility we must make sure that fundamental apps such as LibreOffice are being updated as soon as possible in order to guarantee snap users the newest and best functionality. The big benefit of snaps (and other sandboxing formats), at least from a user’s point of view, is exactly that you can guarantee a stable OS and at the same time work with the latest versions of (at least the most important and crucial) applications. I hope of course that somebody from the development team will now give us an indication of when to expect the newest version (25.2.x).
