icons missing under fedora

So You've really focused your app for ubuntu then? Maybe it should be said in the title. Your extensions works in fedora but a lot of icons are missing in comparaison with https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1503/tray-icons/ My problem is that I would like to get an extension as compatible as possible and focused really on gnome API not some specific API from ubuntu so that I Can use it in any gnome environment. veracrypt is indeed missing but the other extensions is able to display it etc. melowplayer from flatpak rocketchat evelauncher which is a wine app dropbox joplin cryptomator ... What I'm missing from tray icons for example is the lack of a simple arrow that drops down the rest of the app and who would limit the number of app indicators to 3 or 5 for example so that I can stack up other extension in my top bar without having the effect for pushing other icons to my right screen for example.

I have the same issue in fedora 33.The apps that don't show icons are:

  • MegaSync
  • Flameshot

TopIcons Plus is able to show all the icons. I would love the icon number limitation as well.

Thanks.

Have you installed the libappindicator library?

My issue is solved after Gnome 40. I am using Fedora 34 (5.13.16-200.fc34.x86_64 to be exact), Gnome 40.4.0.

I see, this extension now also supports legacy icons (as many around), but to get better icons support, ensure libappindicator is installed.

Libappindicator is installed indeed. I deactivate your extension actually because I had to be able to limit the icons in a 3 dots and apparently your extension is incompatible with tray icons reloaded extension because your extension overwrites completely the settings that other extensions tried to do. With t je new version of your extension I must admit that more apps are showing up indeed.
