Ubuntu mate 25.10, mate-optimus crashes with an error about nvidia-detect file not found.

Ubuntu removed nvidia-detect in 25.10, replacing it with additional functionality in ubuntu-drivers. As a result mate-optimus fails to launch and crashes.
