Cannot reorder favourites

I'm unable to reorder the items in the favourites menu, I'm not sure if this is a bug or a missing feature.

Distro Version: Debian Unstable Advanced MATE Menu Version: 20.04.1

Confirmed. I think is a bug.

Same here. It was working on Debian 10 (Mate 1.20.4). Upgrading to Debian 11 (Mate 1.24.1) it has stopped working. Probably due to Python 3 instead of python 2.7? Errors in applications.py? Pretty disappointing. Any temporary workaround editing files?

I've found a workaround by myself ~/.config/mate-menu/applications.list reflects the favourites order, so I can change the order manually from there. After changing the order: right-click on "Menu" button and click "Reload plug-ins" et voila`! I can survive with that until the problem is fixed, hopefully soon and hopefully in the Debian 11 repo.
