Not showing some open applications

The dock isn't showing some open applications. For example, I have Sozi installed in my Linux Mint Mate and when I open it there is no indication on the dock.

I'm running the V0.88 (GTK3) version, manually installed from Debian.org packages.

Now using the V0.89: the same behaviour here.

I noticed if I run some applications (like jupyter-notebook) that launches other softwares (Firefox in this case) there is no indication for this launched software. In this example, after the Firefox opens up, no matter how many windows I open or how many times I right-click on the dock icon (launching new windows), there is no indication at all.

This issue occurs with Virtualbox too. The Virtualbox indication show up on dock but quickly disappear.

Is this project abandoned? Not showing Fritzing (installed via APT) icon too. It's very annoying...

I have the same problem with Android Studio, Clion and Intellij IDEA. When the application launches, an icon appears in the dock, but it is there for only like 3 seconds and then it disappears.
