Are you still affected by this? A recommended work around is to install Silverblue or Kinoite and then rebase to Bazzite.

You'd only need one command to rebase, it's in the readme of this repository.

https://universal-blue.org/images/bazzite/FAQ/#why-is-my-installer-not-working-dracut-issue-black-screen Check out this section in the FAQ. Basically download the x86_64 ISO for Fedora Kinoite here, https://fedoraproject.org/kinoite/download/ and flash it with the same method you did for the Bazzite ISO.

and this should launch the installer, install it, and when you reach the desktop open "Konsole" and you can rebase by entering the command for whatever image you want. (Desktop-AMD/Intel, Desktop-Nvidia, Steam Deck image, GNOME editions, etc.)

A fair warning if you're installing Fedora Kinoite on your Steam Deck this way, the installer will not scale properly to the deck's resolution and you will have to press the "TAB" key on your keyboard to navigate to the continue button on the bottom right of the installer.

We are currently in the process of regenerating this ISO. It is not complete yet. If you want more information, please follow this issue: https://github.com/ublue-os/main/issues/468

We now have a new offline installer that can be downloaded at https://bazzite.gg/#image-picker

Let us know if you have any issues with the new one :)
