Games and emulation is causing device to crash and hard reboot
Describe the bug
While playing on baiter on the legion go the device will often just freeze and then crash to reboot. I have noticed this on both Witcher 3 steam version as well as when running emulation.
What did you expect to happen?
Games should work and not crash to reboot.

ELF object binary architecture: AMD x86-64
May 04 00:09:42 fedora systemd[1]: [email protected]: Deactivated successfully.
Will add more info once I get back to my go. Alongside latest logs from recent reboot. But this has been happening consistently on multiple bassists versions (latest as well as 0406 image)
Noticed this on Suyu emulator as well as some games like Witcher 3. Can no longer play these games reliably as they crash to reboot. It may be happening on other games too but have not been to accurately test them.
All of these same games and power settings work on my windows install fine so i don't think it's a hardware issue but rather a software issue for the Bazzite Linux distro with the GPUS.
Got the same issue with Legion Go, tried games like No Man's Sky or Tetris Effect: Connected. However, some other games do work fine.
The backtrace for gamescope-wl
coredump is very similar to OP, so I won't paste that unless needed.
Both of these games worked fine on OLED Steam Deck as well as desktop PC using regular Fedora.
UPDATE: Found a solution
You have to make sure that UMA memory size in BIOS Setup is set to fixed value >=4GB, definitely not "Auto". I would like to request adding that info to the installation guide.

This is a recent bug w/ the 6.10 kernel, we're looking into it. Auto should be used upon this bug being resolved.
Auto should be used upon this bug being resolved.
Why it should be used? It causes serious issues and switching to fixed-size >=4GB memory pool does not, I can't get your reasoning at all

Its a temporary workaround for now. There's going to be a fix later today by downgrading the Linux kernel, so if you would prefer to wait as opposed to changing the UMA memory size then it should be fixed and built soon.
do we know when kernel 6.10 is going to return to bazzite? Or can you shed some more light on what exactly holding it back is fixing? As I am seeing some amdgpu module instability on a 7040 series minisforum device on bazzite that I dont get when I boot into Kinoite proper. I'd much rather be rebasing to bazzite, as it fits my use case better than vanilla kinoite

It causes crashing when auto UMA is enabled. We will likely completely skip it and try again when 6.11 is ready.
thanks for clarifying
