Utilizing akmods-nvidia-open:centos-10, no kmod-nvidia-common?
The akmods-nvidia-open:centos-10 container is missing the ublue-os-ucore-nvidia package that's present in Fedora builds.
CentOS 10 (ghcr.io/ublue-os/akmods-nvidia-open:centos-10):
- kmod-nvidia-6.12.0-150.el10.x86_64-580.105.08-1.el10.x86_64.rpm
- ublue-os-nvidia-addons-0.13-1.el10.noarch.rpm
Fedora 42 (ghcr.io/ublue-os/akmods-nvidia-open:coreos-stable-42):
- kmod-nvidia-6.16.10-200.fc42.x86_64-580.105.08-1.fc42.x86_64.rpm
- ublue-os-nvidia-addons-0.13-1.fc42.noarch.rpm
- ublue-os-ucore-nvidia-0.3-1.fc42.noarch.rpm ← Missing in CentOS 10
When attempting to install the kmod from the CentOS 10 container, I get:
package kmod-nvidia-... requires nvidia-kmod-common >= 3:580.105.08, but none of the providers can be installed
Is ublue-os-ucore-nvidia intentionally excluded from CentOS builds, or is this a packaging gap? Should we expect CentOS 10 users to source this package differently?
I was looking at ucore to try and see how you're succeeding and I must be missing something. I'd also attempted to utilize negativo17 directly for nvidia-kmod-common but it pulls in a ton of dependencies (~200MB of DKMS infrastructure that we don't want)...
Also, have you seen fedora-bootc-nvidia?
I should probably add that I found the ublue-os/akmods repo when trying to get zfs working, and that seems to work great for centos10!
