To be exact, it's look like gbfs, but it not ;) You can check on https://gbfs-validator.netlify.com/ (i made it, own promotion)
@PierrickP are you sure, I just copied and pasted @robbi5 's link in your validator, and the result was valid.
@pmdbt Indeed, it's not clear. I should update validator to show "warning".
On GBFS spec, only system_information.json are required. Some other files are conditionally required (https://github.com/NABSA/gbfs/blob/master/gbfs.md#files)
Bird feed include system_information.json.
The others files available are named free_bikes (one by city) and should be free_bike_status. (https://github.com/NABSA/gbfs/blob/master/gbfs.md#free_bike_statusjson).
My validator doesn't detect it. But their files looks not valid. I saw some bird_id at null (must be a unique id)
You can mix multiple cities into one feed but not like bird did it. The easy way is to provide different feed (like Nextbike)

@PierrickP haha I'm still not quite sure what gbfs is to be honest. However, our team was able to validate the data's accuracy and confirm that it's actual bird data (only in los angeles). We put all the gps coordinates from the santa monica and los angeles links onto a map, then compared it with the actual map on the bird ios app. It's not exact, but there is too much similarity for the matches to be random. The data is also refreshed pretty frequently it seems, roughly once every 5 minutes.
@pmdbt For GBFS, see https://github.com/NABSA/gbfs (or i'm doing a talk about it at the end of the month but in french :D ) i didn't said, datas are not accurate ;)
