CPU pegged at 100% / bad performance

I've recently start noticing that any JS heavy web application is becoming incredibly difficult to use.

CPU is pegged at 100% for over a minute, unresponsive, very slow.

After profiling it turns out the uBlock is causing the extension, as soon as I exclude the domain I'm working on all problems solved.

I see the same problems with applications such as
