@camierjs is an expert on this, but I don't think there is a "standard" way to ensure this -- it depends on the machine (and of course, the hardware).

It depends on what applications need, but one way to extend this to AMR and parallel meshes is to use the conforming interpolations from the low-order `H1`, `H(curl)`, `H(div)` and...
