Same happening in 1.10.8 on Fedora 41 and Fedora 42 Workstation under KDE using Flatpak.

I seem to remember it's the same using and unpacked .deb

I'm wondering if it's related to the file portal thing because I can make it save, but it's something fiddly like you need to pick the root folder first and then navigate to where you want it saved and then it'll do it. I'll try and document it next time it occurs. Funny how you can't remember little things like that that' you've just done.

So if I pick a folder using "Places" shortcuts then it saves.

If I just navigate using folder view then it just closes the file picker portal.

"Save" and "Print" have been failed on Linux for a long time (for various distros) I emailed the developer team months ago and was informed it was an Electron issue

Same issue on Gentoo. Workaround is to use command line to open a file. i.e. $ typora newfile.md

❯ emerge -vp kde-apps/dolphin plasma-meta qtbase typora

May relates https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/42250

For Typora 1.11.x, we already upgrade electron to electron-35.x, so based on https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/42250#issuecomment-2888639478, it should work now.

Aslo, does the binary version of Typora https://downloads.typora.io/linux/Typora-linux-x64.tar.gz (not installed via Flatpak or AUR) works?

Reinstalled dolphin and can confirm this issue no longer occurs with Typora 1.11
