Is there a way to make tables wider than the rest of the text through CSS formatting?

Atm I'm using 900 width for text, but I have a wide screen monitor and for tables it would be great to be able to use the full width. Is there such a way to format the CSS theme?

Fully agree. Would be awesome if the display of text and tables wouldn't be limited to a thin slice in the middle.
