X-Total-Count not being returned in header

According to the documentation, adding '_start and _end or _limit' to the query params should return an 'X-Total-Count' header. I have tried them all, however, it is not being returned. Has this been updated?

In the alpha version, the 'x-total-count' does not appear. When downgrading to version 0.17.4, the 'x-total-count' is present in the response header.
