Add the following to the top of your UI configuration file.

I don't know that the "UI configuration file" is.

Agreed, the notes need updating.

I would recommend using HACS and you don't need modify any files. But if you want to do it manually:

Triple Dots at the Top Right > Edit Dashboard > Triple Dots at the Top Right > Manage Resources

Then click Add Resource and enter the information there.

I did use HACS, actually. But installing it through HACS had no result for me.

I'm not sure if I installed or configured AArlo correctly. "Arlo Camera Support" shows up in /hacs/integrations. But that's about it. Adding aarlo integration to configuration.yaml, as well as camera and binary_sensor has no result. And nothing in the logs indicating any issues with AArlo (but no indication AArlo is even doing anything).

OK. It works. No action needed. Here's what happened...

I was restarting HA multiple times via /config/server_control. Except it was tricking me it was restarting. It didn't do anything. I had to SSH and ha core restart for changes to take effect! After the restart - boom - cameras are showing in my system-generated dashboard.

Glad it's working. One thing to remember when upgrading the card is the Home Assistant GUI caches things aggressively so you might have to force a reload. In Chrome:

  • open the developer tools CTRL+SHIFT+I
  • reload CTRL+SHIFT+R
