Binary sensor: "ding" not working in silent mode

When Arlo Video Doorbell is set to "silent mode", the binary_sensor.aarlo_ding doesn't trigger.

I want my doorbell in silent mode, so I don't get calls and notifications on my phone - only Home Assistant triggers. The Amazon Alexa app has no problem detecting the door bell push (ding), when the doorbell is in silent mode. (I use an Echo speaker for the door bell sound.)
