Values reset when interface is closed

When used in Ableton, the VST's values will reset if the interface/GUI is closed.

I'm seeing the same using both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. I'm using Reaper v5.78 x64. When I close the VST dialog, sometimes the sound will stay positioned where I placed, but other times it does not. Every time I re-open the VST dialog, the settings are reset. Please fix! This is the VST plugin I was looking for, but I'm not a C++ dev.
