Request for Assistance in Enhancing The Algorithm Open Source Code
We are a team of developers interested in using The Algorithm code released by Twitter on GitHub. We appreciate the company's initiative to make the code available for research and development purposes.
We are currently facing a challenge in using the code effectively and would appreciate any assistance from the Twitter team in enhancing it. We are specifically looking for support in the following areas:
- Understanding the logic and design of the algorithm
- Clarification on specific functions and their purpose
- Assistance in troubleshooting and resolving errors
- Suggestions on how to improve the code for our specific use case
- We believe that with the support of the Twitter team, we can make significant progress in our project and contribute to the open-source community.
We kindly request your assistance and guidance in enhancing the code and would appreciate any response or feedback from the Twitter team.
Thank you for your consideration.
Really? OMG this is not a joke
You can't
- Compile this code
- Use this code in any capacity
- Test this "algorithm"
You should not
- Work for free for a billionaire, this ain't research.
💀
@nobodyindustries idk why you are so pressed about Elon musk making this open source. Yes, obviously he would profit off of people contributing code to this open source project.
I'm not defending him, since this seems more like a publicity stunt than anything productive, and essential documentation to get started is missing, but multi-billion dollar companies have been profiting off of their open source projects for years now. Not sure why this one is any different.
@Higgs32584 This goes against all open source philosophies that exist. This is not open source, this is just a billionaire seeking for free labor, furthermore, providing something of no value to anyone and that does not serve the purpose of validation. I think that nobody should contribute to this.
@nobodyindustries but if you can't work on this anyway why does it matter?
And you still never explained why it's different than other companies multi-billion open source projects only they reap the benefit from

You are delusional.
