Inconsistent home feed results in Home Mixer

Open 0xEbrahim opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

I noticed that the home feed results in Home Mixer are often inconsistent and don't reflect my interests and preferences. This seems to happen even when I've engaged with relevant accounts and topics on Twitter.

I suspect that the current algorithm used in Home Mixer doesn't account for some important factors in determining what content to show users. For instance, it seems to rely heavily on recency and popularity rather than taking into account a user's engagement history or personalized preferences.

This issue is particularly concerning because it leads to a poor user experience and could cause users to disengage with the platform. I believe that improving the algorithm used in Home Mixer to be more personalized and reflective of a user's interests and engagement history would lead to a better user experience and increased user satisfaction.

Steps to reproduce:

Open the Twitter app and navigate to the Home tab Observe the content shown in the home feed and compare it to your interests and engagement history on Twitter Expected behavior:

The content shown in the home feed should be more personalized and reflective of a user's interests and engagement history.

Actual behavior:

The content shown in the home feed is often inconsistent and not reflective of a user's interests and engagement history.
